Falmouth Road Race
August 8 - August 14
Event Navigation

After taking a year off due to the pandemic, the Why Me All Star runners are once again taking on the 7 mile run. While this year is still a little different, we are unsure if our 15 runners will be able to run the actual Falmouth course or do their own virtual version. Regardless, our team is working hard to raise vital funds to support kids with cancer. Typically, the Falmouth course consists of the first three miles being narrow, hilly, winding tree-shaded roads, while the last four miles are open on the flat right next to Martha’s Vineyard Sound. A small steep hill lets you know that you are beginning the last half-mile of the race. Once you crest the hill it is “all downhill” to the finish. Children diagnosed with cancer have a much longer and tougher battle ahead of them but with support groups, financial assistance, parent social outings, family fun events, and hospital visits families find receive the tools and assistance needed for the long journey ahead.
