Stephanie Fontaine
Family Liaison
In early 2008, Stephanie received a visit from Why Me. Her youngest child was in the hospital and had just been diagnosed with Leukemia. The love and support she instantly felt was so welcoming. As soon as her daughter was cleared, they visited Sherry’s House. It was such a comforting feeling to Stephanie and her husband to know there was support not only for their daughter, but their five sons too. The entire family participated in family events and was able to meet other families on the same journey.
Prior to starting her family, Stephanie attended Oral Roberts University and received a B.S. in Elementary Education. For the past twenty-five years, Stephanie has been home-schooling her children and assisting her husband in the church they founded. Since her daughter’s diagnosis, she has stayed closely tied to Why Me – attending monthly support group meetings, family events, and volunteering where needed.
Now, Stephanie is thrilled to bring her own past experiences to her new position at Why Me. As Family Liaison, she will be assisting Danielle with all aspects of Family Services. Stephanie will assist in the planning of family events, visit the clinic, and provide valuable support to families from diagnosis through treatment.
