100 Mile Ruck March 2024
Brett Surprenant – 100 Mile Ruck March 2024
Hello, I’m Brett Surprenant, and I’ve committed to completing the 100-mile ruck to support local families facing childhood cancer. Though I’m not personally a parent of a child with cancer, becoming a father of two has deepened my empathy for those enduring such immense challenges.
The challenge, inspired by military events, involves a small group of 50 athletes embarking on a rigorous journey, hiking 25 miles a day for four consecutive days. Participants must carry the necessary supplies to stay alive for 4 days on their back, navigate the course independently, cook their own meals, and tend to their physical needs – all in pursuit of the prestigious 100 Mile Ruck March Finisher Medal.
All proceeds from this endeavor will go directly to Why Me & Sherry’s House, a grassroots nonprofit offering crucial support to families dealing with childhood cancer. Founded and operated by individuals who’ve faced this struggle firsthand, their dedicated team understands the unique needs of these families and is passionately committed to providing essential services.
