100 Mile Ruck March 2025
Ashley Warhol – Team Levi 100 Mile Ruck March 2025
For those of you who know me, this latest challenge should come as no surprise as I’m always looking for the next hard thing to do. Hike 500+ miles on the Camino de Santiago? Check. 105 miles and 35,000 ft of elevation around the Tour du Mont Blanc? Done. 100 miles on a treadmill for a belt buckle? Of course.
But this challenge is different. Everything I’ve done up to this point has been for me and to see how far I could push my limits. This time it’s about all of the children and families who benefit from the support that Why Me/Sherry’s House provides. And there’s one brave guy and his family that I’m doing this for in particular – my fellow queso-loving pal, Levi P. Diagnosed with Leukemia in 2022 at just 3 years old, he single-handedly kept Mexicali in business with his queso orders and has battled his way to remission as of this summer! Over the years I have seen how Sherry’s House has given Levi and his family a sense of normalcy and opportunities to celebrate, and I want to give back so that they can continue creating memories for families like Levi’s.
Give if you can – any amount helps towards my goal for this non-profit that supports families with childhood cancer. I would also love to see you out along the route this July 2025!
The 100 Mile Ruck March Challenge is a military inspired event, where a small group of Athletes will Ruck (hike) 25 miles a day for 4 days. Camping out each night on the farm of a local brewery and continuing the march at sunrise each morning. Athletes will carry everything they will need for this 4 day event on their backs, navigate the 100 mile course, cook their own meals, set up and break down their camps each night, tend to their feet and bodies, all in an attempt to earn the coveted 100 Mile Ruck March Finisher Medal.
100% of the proceeds go to Why Me & Sherry’s House a grass roots non-profit organization dedicated to providing love and support services to families with childhood cancer. It’s run in part by parents that lived this experience first-hand, the dedicated staff and volunteers understand what families with a pediatric cancer patient need and are passionate about services provided.
