100 Mile Ruck March 2024
Robert Halvorsen – 100 Mile Ruck March 2024
100 Mile Ruck Part Deux! I have signed up again for Why ME & Sherry’s House 100-mile ruck. Last year, with your generous donations, we raised over $6,000.00 which went directly to helping families dealing with pediatric cancer. I can not thank you enough for your donations to this great organization. This year, I again will be walking in memory of my nephew Patrick. This was the hardest, most physically demanding, and most painful thing I had ever done. I know, however, that the physical pain I endured, and will endure again, pales in comparison to the pain a family must endure while their child battles cancer. With your donations, we can help ease some of their pain with the great work this organization does. I thank you in advance for any donation that you can give.
The 100 Mile Ruck March Challenge is a military inspired event, where a small group of Athletes will Ruck (hike) 25 miles a day for 4 days. Camping out each night on the farm of a local brewery and continuing the march at sunrise each morning. Athletes will carry everything they will need for this 4 day event on their backs, navigate the 100 mile course, cook their own meals, set up and break down their camps each night, tend to their feet and bodies, all in an attempt to earn the coveted 100 Mile Ruck March Finisher Medal.
100% of the proceeds go to Why Me & Sherry’s House a grass roots non-profit organization dedicated to providing love and support services to families with childhood cancer. It’s run in part by parents that lived this experience first-hand, the dedicated staff and volunteers understand what families with a pediatric cancer patient need and are passionate about services provided.
